This summer, Freshi offers FIVE new and exciting camp experiences!
Beginning in June, these week-long digital media summer camps give youth the basics they need to better handle the digital world we live in.
Freshi has teamed up with Parks & Rec Departments and Community Colleges nationwide to offer digital media camps that are both affordable and fun! Whether you’re a beginner or wanting to delve deeper into the filmmaking, video game design or stop motion animation arts, a fantastic Freshi camp program awaits you.
For those just getting started, Filmmaking Level 1 is an engaging Digital Filmmaking program where you write and pitch storyboards, shoot and edit your movie, add music and more. A great way to better understand how to make web-quality films and get into the digital filmmaking movement!
In this advanced digital filmmaking program, use the tools learned in Level 1 to shoot your own commercials, PSAs or music video. Add special effects and music to complete your film. Leave camp with your very own DVD film demo reel that’s ready to go and show!
If you are into video games, this is the camp for you! Learn how your favorite video games are made from start to finish. You’ll design and program your own characters, unique 2-D video game and screensaver using interactive, easy-to-use software. An awesome camp and fantastic opportunity!
Finally a beginner’s animation class that enables kids to understand how true animation is created. Using action figures and Legos®, kids learn how to make their characters come to life! In this camp, they learn to brainstorm, storyboard, shot, edit and create an animated world they will finish in a film they can share with family and friends!
A step up from the Freshi “Animation for Kids” camp, campers learn more advanced animation techniques. They each brainstorm, write, storyboard, set, character and lighting design, shoot, edit and animate a unique world they will create! Campers utilize their unique talents and collaborate as a team to express themselves through the magical world of animation!
